// Technology was supposed to bring us together. Instead, it has been tearing us apart.
// Human relationships are increasingly being replaced with virtual ones.
This project intended to make people reconnect again.
WHAT WE DID
Under the concept of meaningful vandalism, we went out into the streets in the middle of the night and posted hundreds of posters carrying technology-addiction related messages.
These aimed to make people compare their real lives to their virtual ones, in the hope that they would realise they’re not living their best lives because of their technology habit.
Hopefully, they would wish to start engaging in human connection again.
WHY WE DID IT
Technology addiction is a real problem.
Did you know almost half of 18-34 year olds admitted their social media feeds made them feel unattractive?
Or that a study by the American Journal of Preventive Medicine found that heavy social media users were twice as likely to report experiencing social isolation?
Look into these and many other facts that prove the seriousness of this problem on onlineofflife.com
